Julia Coursey is a fiction writer who often lives near a train station. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama. Recently, her work has appeared in Booth, The Collagist, Joyland, and Psychopomp. She won the Gigantic Sequins 7th Annual Summer Flash Fiction Contest and stories of hers have been nominated for inclusion in the Pushcart Anthology. Her work earned her a position as a 2021 Fulbright scholar to Hungary, in order to research a novel about pseudo-translation.
Currently, Julia is seeking representation for a novel about whales, ghosts, and whales that are ghosts.
